Monday afternoon update

While Nick didn't have his surgery today, he has had a comprehensive scan of his bladder which found no leaks which is great. No explanation so far for the blood that's been in his urine but it doesn't seem to be serious, which is good.
Nick and I are in much better spirits this afternoon after a pretty rough 24 hours. Thank you for your messages of concern and support for the two of us. Things have been hard, but we're both beginning now to get a handle on how to look after each other while looking after ourselves (so I went for a nice nap while Nick had his scan).
As Nick is spending more time conscious he may be able to deal with visitors for short times so if you feel like spending an hour in the Royal London, drop him a line.
(As a receiver of messages though I can warn you they may be sporadic)
